Although society has become more open when it comes to talking about mental health over the past few years, there is still a bit of a stigma attached to seeing a psychiatrist. Some people assume psychiatry is only for "crazy" people, or that psychiatrists are just pill pushers. Neither of these assumptions are true. In fact, it's better to see a psychiatrist as soon as you notice your symptoms in order to help improve your condition.
